Hmami and Watson out for a while. We can’t fill the bench now without iincluding injured players.

Surely someone has to be brought in up front.
Let’s see what happens, yeah?

It's the right call I think. Get more minutes under his belt and come back fit for the run-in.

I was talking to some Bristol R supporters (we get a few of them in Bath) who went to the game at the mem and they were very impressed with him.
Do you live in Bath?
I do indeed.
I never realised.

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

Reagan Ogle has also ended up at Hartlepool and may play at the weekend. Their website states that Marcus has given a good first impression. I was talking to some Bristol R supporters (we get a few of them in Bath) who went to the game at the mem and they were very impressed with him. Do you live i...

Re: Post match interview with Liam

Just to be clear Liam has never once in all the years we have been interviewing him told us what to ask or shirked any question. He is the best person to interview in the league in my opinion, you just have to look at some of the post match inter4views that go out from other clubs. I try to make th...

Re: Conflict of interests?

After the latest LW interview it's quite obvious their is no replacement for carver, which leads me to think that their could be a conflict of interests between LW the manager, and LW the shareholder, Back in the day the manager would be knocking on the owners door ,demanding cash for players, with ...

becbee wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 9:15 am Sounds a bit strange that someone who'd "been of interest to a number of clubs" would then go out on loan? Still, at least he was sought after but chose Southport!
Seems Farsley need to get their wage bill down.

Re: Marcus Carver

Marc Lloyd-Williams may be a good example of why we shouldn’t just rush for a guy who has a load of goals in a lesser league. Marc scored 319 goals in the welsh league, either side of a 3 goal spell with us. We signed him on the back of a 68 goal in only 55 game spell at Bangor. Huge shame it didn’...

Re: Marcus Carver

On the 9 Jan 1965,southport played Don Revies Leeds United ar Elland Road,in front 31,000, Yep without selling are best players we wouldn't be where we are today, great in it,Nuff said,up the port I'm not sure the attendance at an away game 57 years ago as a result of a random cup draw would persua...

Re: Marcus Carver

Not sure where the discussion is really? He’s a semi pro player being offered a full time contract at a professional club. Doesn’t matter what we think. This decision is the players and rightly so. It’s a decision for him. Not sure why him staying for another five months makes much sense to him. It’...

Re: Marcus Carver

The thing that bugs me most about this is that other goalscorers in this league seem to stick around. The likes of Glen Taylor, Macauley Langstaff, Lee Ndlovu etc. have remained at their respective clubs at this level for a lot longer than Carver has been with us, and have maintained a higher level...

Re: Liam Edwards

It's great news that Liam Edwards is staying with SFC until the end of the season-great signing, and well done to Bolton Wanderers in their part in seeing that Liam is being well looked at SFC in his rehabilitation after serious injury. Good point, YF. I don’t think we should forget the role Bolton...

Re: Marcus Carver

I think it is time for the Club to decide if we are serious about getting out of this league and if we are then Marcus Carver will need to be replaced as we cannot afford to go down by one striker for the final push. Good luck to Marcus Carver and I am sure he will do well in the football league as...

Re: Marcus Carver

I think we all saw this move coming. As soon as we started winning with Carver scoring what seemed to feel like every game, it was inevitable. I’m hopeful we’ve got our eye on a proper non-league centre forward to replace Carver. Someone in the mould of a Terry Fearns (without the bad stuff of cours...
