Re: Possible transfer targets for next season etc...
Two players that add experience and have been released in the EFL which stand out is Shaun Whalley that experienced winger and has the obvious connection to Southport, and the other is Jay Spearing released by Tranmere as he taken on a coaching role at Liverpool Academy so could be looking for part...

Re: Altrincham FC
All quite depressing really. Disagree. We tried to do it but what we ended up getting was the worst full time players as opposed to the better part time players. Each to their own but I don't think it's prudent for Chester to do this. Good luck to Altrincham...it's a wealthy part of the country aro...

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!
Liam Edwards has been released by Bolton. I really I hope he can get over his injury problems. If we go down that route, I'd love him here permanently as he's such an amazing asset when fit. I don't know if Liam dares take a risk on him but if he could overcome his injury woes I think he'd probably...

Re: SFC Team for Mickey Mouse Cup Final
Very much enjoyed the game. Their supporters were magnificent singing throughout second half, obviously celebrating their promotion, all great stuff, no unnecessary swearing, made for great atmosphere, showed up our rowdy bunch of kids who make a lot of noise but with very childish behaviour thrown...

Re: Farsley Celtic 2-0 Southport - Match Thread
In terms of strikers, one can understand how its difficult to find them available in the leagues above , even in league two or the national league. After all , good goal scorers tend not to be warming the benches each week and those we do get on loan tend to have patchy records or are not playing r...

Re: Farsley Celtic 2-0 Southport - Match Thread
It will be the same next season, Liam won't change the way we play,Would u give him your money.I wouldn't. I don't necessarily think he plays this terrible brand of football when all the players are fit and on song - we did mix it up in our winning spurt. I don't quite understand why we've reverted...

Re: Farsley Celtic 2-0 Southport - Match Thread
Many of us, the fans, said earlier in the season that these young lads we have needed some experienced heads around them to get them through the season, but also to make the squad bigger. When we had our run, we were a fit young side with a centre forward bang in form. We didn't replace the goals an...

Carberry a left back?
If so, I quite like the balance of that team.

Re: Kidderminster Harriers [Score doesn't matter as long as everyone had fun] Southport - Match Thread
I fully accept the point about having realistic expectations. But people rarely do. Despite all the facts, I desperately want to see Port have some success in my lifetime. I guess that I want hope to triumph over expectations. The point of my post was that I was surprised that the reactions to the ...

Re: Kidderminster Harriers [Score doesn't matter as long as everyone had fun] Southport - Match Thread
You need one at this level, especially when you rely on set pieces like we do. Ever heard of a cross into the box? Or a corner? Or a long throw? Good luck winning any balls in the air if you haven't got anyone to head them on in the first place. It's no secret that when we were at our best this sea...

Ditch hoofball but you want a big target man?! 🥴🥴 You need one at this level, especially when you rely on set pieces like we do. Ever heard of a cross into the box? Or a corner? Or a long throw? Re: Kidderminster Harriers [Score doesn't matter as long as everyone had fun] Southport - Match Thread
Like some others have said, I don't think this result in particular is the end of the world, but it's more the lack of ambition on a longer term basis, being satisfied with less than a full XI of fit players for large swathes of the season, and thinking we could still remain competitive when we los...
