Re: Doug tharme

Surely you would much rather watch a player who plays with passion, no ego and is hungry to progress up the pyramid, rather than a player who is at a club for a final pay day, such as Dobbie at Fylde and Clayton Donaldson who looks set to join York. Bit harsh on Dobbie and Donaldson…both have clear...

The game’s supposed to be 11v 11 not 18 v 18.

Let’s just flog the players a little bit more!

Re: This season in NLN

I understand the sentiments from many of these exiled supporters who post on here, live a long way from Haig Avenue and don't get to see so many games. Get behind the team-full support-give it your all and everything will be ok etc.... When you live in the town-have watched and followed SFC fairly ...

In my opinion he did, I live on planet earth like you we simply differ in are view.
Luckily I know you are wrong. Some of those that really tried to wreck the club are still involved.
Interesting comment. Go on...

Re: Update from Ian Kyle

Oh yeah. And the thing is, the balls we have to use aren't cheap. I think the league requires you buy something like 50 footballs at £75 each at the start of the season. Which is why you always see Dave popping out of the ground when one is kicked over  You'd think the league and their spo...

Re: Update from Ian Kyle

My favourite was the guy who used to pop the balls when they landed in his garden. That's some real hate right there. Though my Auntie once got so fed up of the kids in her Bootle street kicking a ball in her garden, that she stabbed it with a bread knife and chucked it back. YellowTaxi will know w...

Shame someone complained about the Walkabouts restarting, but nice to see them back now. Outrageous, this. What would the complaint have been?! Crazy. Re: Captain 21/22

35 year old Steve McNulty played in most games for League Two Tranmere before dropping down to the Conference North, so it isn't that ridiculous a suggestion. I'd love to be proven wrong and we sign Clarke, but it won't happen, unless we pay well...which is what York did with McNulty. I think Clark...

Our second former player (including loanees ) to play in the Premier League if he makes an appearance? After Craig Noone. Mark Duffy was promoted with Sheff Utd but didn’t play for them in the PL. Ben Davies is at Liverpool but hasn’t played in the first team. Did Trundle play for Swansea in the PL...

Maybe, instead of spending a fortune on a pitch that ended up a sandpit we should maybe have installed a 3g pitch. That idea is far too sensible. Does 3g = success? Plenty of stadiums have had pitch issues. Wembley was awful when it opened. Maybe they should have installed 3g too? I'm not sa...

Mike Marsh was a cracking player...he'd be close to a Southport non-league xi for me, even if he was only with us for one season.

I like option 1. Option 2 will be boring and uninspiring. Go a bit mental, have some fun...could jazz up our style of football!

Thanks for the article. Welcome Frank and the best wishes in your new position 🤞 How come you've been nervous, TrickyD...
