No, but if we have a mega run like we did in the middle of the season just gone, then we’ll stay upSandgrounder SE wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 7:37 pm Four relegated next season don’t forget. We can’t afford any barren runs like those at the beginning and end of last season.

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!
Yes, horrid for Doug. I don’t think that their Board would be happy if he is released without playing a game after they only recently paid a fee for him. Not sure he'd have been expected to be going straight into a first team squad 4 divisions above where he's been playing. I'm sure Liam said as mu...

Re: Update with Liam and Ian
I think Kappa have produced some good stuff for us. The look is strong and classic & im glad we’re sticking with them. I agree - bought back a more traditional colour of jersey too. That bright yellow Joma kit we had was an abomination. At least Kappa give us more bespoke home kits. Looking for...

Re: RIP Billy Bingham
Very sad day for Southport Football Club. R.I.P. Billy you leave me with many happy memories. How nice it would be to have the main stand named after one of the clubs greatest. Agreed. 100%. But why do we have to wait until someone has passed before we honour them? This should have been done a whil...

Re: Possible transfer targets for next season etc...
Two players that add experience and have been released in the EFL which stand out is Shaun Whalley that experienced winger and has the obvious connection to Southport, and the other is Jay Spearing released by Tranmere as he taken on a coaching role at Liverpool Academy so could be looking for part...

All quite depressing really. Disagree. We tried to do it but what we ended up getting was the worst full time players as opposed to the better part time players. Each to their own but I don't think it's prudent for Chester to do this. Good luck to Altrincham...it's a wealthy part of the country aro...

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!
Liam Edwards has been released by Bolton. I really I hope he can get over his injury problems. If we go down that route, I'd love him here permanently as he's such an amazing asset when fit. I don't know if Liam dares take a risk on him but if he could overcome his injury woes I think he'd probably...
