Re: News of Former Players - it's back!
Wouldn’t it be great if we could get him back on loan.

Nice to see James on the Wembley pitch this afternoon, enjoying the moment following Chelsea Ladies Cup Final victory.

Re: Playoffs
Delighted that Fylde won’t be going anywhere soon. Downside is that we’ll have to put up with them and the vile, disgusting James Rowe again next season, that’s assuming they don’t fire him off now.

Re: Southport v AFC Telford United
A bit of a dead rubber as far as we are concerned, but Telford will be giving it all. Personally, I hope Telford stay up, Paul Carden is a decent Manager, and Telford is always a good away day.

Re: Southport 1-1 Spennymoor Town - Match Thread
What has happened to our '14 game without defeat team'? We were playing good, pressing football and scoring for fun. Now we can hardly 'buy' a goal. Summary of the season - 1/3 rd. very good, 2/3rds very poor. As has been said before, we need a bigger squad. We need decent support for Archer (Newel...

Re: Farsley Celtic 2-0 Southport - Match Thread
There’s been lots of talk about injuries, but on the flip side, we’ve had very, very few suspensions. Off hand, I can only think of Jack’s three match ban for his red card against Darlington, so I suppose over the course of the season these things even themselves out.

Re: Southport 0-0 AFC Fyld€ - Match Thr€ad
Having sent off their Manager for kicking the ball away, he allowed him to sit on the front row of the stand directly behind the away dug, directing the game with a radio. His language incidentally was absolutely vile, shouting out every swear word in the book. He also made threats to “get” Cam Mas...

Re: Southport 0-0 AFC Fyld€ - Match Thr€ad
Quite an entertaining game to be fair, but yet again we showed that we have difficulty overcoming 10 men. Once more, a poor referee, who it appears doesn’t even know the basic rules and laws of the game. Having sent off their Manager for kicking the ball away, he allowed him to sit on the front row ...

Re: Tonight's scores
All this talk about Marcus Carver, but, has anyone considered what his thoughts were in this. He was playing football for a part time non-league club and probably having to hold down a full time job as well. He’s 28, and suddenly an opportunity arises to play full time, two leagues higher, I don’t t...

Re: Southport 0-1 Kettering Town - Match Thread
Probably the worst game of the season, only one shot on goal in the the whole game, but, what a damn awful referee yet again. The penalty was outside the box, and we at least three decent shouts that the man in black waived away. Can’t understand how Doug didn’t get MOM, he was head and shoulders ab...

Might be a little optimistic, but I’m going for a comfortable 3-1 win in front of the biggest crowd of the season. 1475.

Probably more accurate to describe Macclesfield of buying the North West Counties league title.YELLOWTAXI wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 7:43 pm Mark Duffy played for Macclesfield today as they got crowned Champions with a 4-0 home win over Ashton Athletic in front of an all time North West Counties record crowd of 4,604.

Re: Southport 0-0 Brackley Town - Match Thread
I think it sometimes depends on why the red card was given. If the remaining 10 players feel the red card was unjust, then they often rally to get a result almost for their teammate. Teams who go down to 9 men usually lose, a 2 man deficit is usually too much for a team to overcome. Yesterday’s was...

Re: Southport 0-0 Brackley Town - Match Thread
I think it was more of a game that neither side wanted to lose, neither side really looked to have that killer instinct. That said, Brackley had a couple of chances in the second half and could have sneaked it. They were definitely better after the sending off, but for me, they should should have be...

Southport v Brackley
With Brackley having recorded 18 clean sheets to our 12, you’d think this is a nailed on 0-0, but with a near full squad at Liam’s disposal, hopefully we could just nick it.

I’ve just read in tonight’s programme that Sam isn’t very well, having just spent four weeks in hospital recovering from brain cancer surgery. As the Club’s President, Sam has been at the heart of Southport F.C. for many, many years, and I would like to wish him a successful and speedy recovery. Goo...
