Re: £2,000 Fine. . Is it fair?

According to the BBC Sport website a number of clubs are considering to bring about a vote of no confidence in the National League board. Good on them.

Re: Jean Carr R.I.P.

Quite often had a quick word with Robert, the couple of occasions we were able to attend this season he was by himself, saying his wife was ill. Condolences to you Robert, RIP Jean.

Re: Brackley away Tuesday ?????

Dover chairman Jim Parmenter has said that if the current situation doesn't change in the next couple of days he will cease football operations and furlough the staff, according to the Guardian website. Surely something has to give soon....

Re: Liam Watson post match

By my reckoning seven clubs refused to play yesterday: Bradford PA, Farsley, Curzon Ashton, Kettering, Guiseley, AFC Telford and Spennymoor. i can't see the NL expelling them all.

Re: Southport v Torquay FA Trophy

Quite a few teams (Bradford PA, Curzon Ashton, Farsley) refusing to play in NLN this afternoon despite threats of points deductions and points being awarded to the other team.

If Liam had said the team was good enough to make the play-offs, he would have been criticised for being in dreamland. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

Even if both teams had been Covid free, the weather may well have caused a postponement.

Re: Chester FC

There was an interview with Anthony Morley in last Sunday's Mirror, he said this season's budget is the lowest ever and that some players were playing for free. Is Anthony Morley the new manager, taking the best bits of Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley to become one super manager? Couldn’t resist...

Good quotes/photos from a couple of fans at the Pure Stadium last night on the BBC Football website about fans' return to football. (Sorry, not sure how to do links)

Re: FT: Southport 2-1 Morpeth Match Thread

I tried a laptop, a tablet and a Kindle. I got 20 seconds of picture and sound then 20 seconds of buffering. Although I saw Morpeth's goal I didn't see either of ours. Hoping for better on Tuesday.

Re: Will YOU Be Returning?

Most certainly, but the question is if and when. We know the leagues below us are able to admit spectators although in a reduced capacity, but there's been no word from the Government when the 'elite' clubs can.

Re: Welcome back!

Since the original Port Chat disappeared in mid-May, I've been checking almost daily to find it again. I'd nearly given up hope but I typed "port chat" in Google once more and pleased to see it reappear. Thanks Nicola for resurrecting it, you've made my weekend ! :)
