Re: Southport 1-0 Darlington - Match Thread
Why are more bans coming ?. Letting off a flare whilst unfurling a ‘Lift The Bans’ banner. The banner on its own could be passed as fair comment. Committing a bannable offence while objecting to bans, less so. Let’s be plain here. Before our first home match the following was posted on the club web...

0-0. Attendance 1342 with 369 away fans 369 away fans, can I have a pint of what you’re drinking? Good afternoon Tony, There are 4 private 50 seater coaches running to this game so there is 200. 169 other fans isn't unachievable. The excitement for this season is off the scale amongst my circle. We...

Disappointing for him no doubt, but as I and others said at the time of his departure, it seems he perhaps should've stuck it out with us until the end of the season just gone.

Ben Tollitt is still a free agent after getting released from Fylde - He scored 9 goals for Fylde last season before getting released this summer. He is from the Liverpool area. Only issue is he obvs was playing for a full-time club so will be maybe expecting a full-time wage. Suprised we've not at...

Re: Fixture release 22/23
How on Earth can it be sensible to be playing the North East teams, (home and away) on Tuesday nights, but the likes of Chorley and Fylde on Saturday’s. Makes no sense whatsoever, particularly travelling to Darlington and Blyth in December. My guess is that it would not make a huge difference in aw...

Max Crocombe in goal for Grimsby just been beaten by a penalty. Max has just got an assist for the equaliser in the last kick of normal time! Let in 4 today, at Wrexham, but made some amazing saves in first half. I missed the 2nd half goal fest, but Grimsby go again next weekend, in the Play off Fi...

Re: Changes to football rules?
Removing playoffs would kill the season for most clubs with 15 games still to go, and I suspect attendances would suffer too. I agree with Swedes and would like more retrospective punishment to stop all the “professionalism” that goes on. I’d also like being a dickhead to become a red card offence....

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23
Freezing gate prices whilst hiking the prices for the most loyal supporters, especially the junior ones, seems a pretty awful strategy. I get the club needs to increase income but surely a modest increase in both gate prices and season tickets would be more appropriate than penalising season ticket...

Re: Playoffs
York were bang average - Brackley should have won at a canter but contrived to miss a hatful of chances and a penalty. York had one shot on target and scored. In the league, Brackley only scored 53 in 42 games. If you are relying on your defence to "shut out" the opposition, you are alway...

Re: West Didsbury and Chorlton F C
I suspect that last time we played in the final, the regular season for Bolton might have finished (prepared to be shot down on that one). Also, it might be down to availability of various local grounds, or just money. I am sure regional FAs are as strapped for cash as clubs. National League playoff...

Oh dear what's Sam Allerdyce doing these days, probably best there are so few games left, the Watson regime has to go, tried to be patient but it is really not good enough, if the goal is to Win the Lancs Cup every season good luck.....the good run has been superseded by this bad one.. very disappo...

Couldn’t get to the match through ill health - I thought there could be nothing to every beat the Radio York commentary - I was wrong - they were odd to say the least Absolutely! The title of this thread needs amending I think if I had travelled all that way for a 6 - 0 thrashing, I think sarcasm is the last thing you want.....what has happened to the team that looked so good not that long ago, it seems to link in with the transfer of Carver & players being signed up fo...

Re: Kidderminster Harriers [Score doesn't matter as long as everyone had fun] Southport - Match Thread
Losing Jack Doyle early on - no challenge, he had looked off the pace from the start - and the fact that Benjamin came on for 20mins suggests we will struggle if the bench is called upon on Tuesday night. Tony Mc as makeshift striker / centre half? Not sure why IBR cannot / will not be recalled. 78 ...

Re: Southport 0-1 Kettering Town - Match Thread
This match shows why we are still in the playoff places - contenders like Kettering, but not just them - are just not good enough. We hold 7th place and it is for others to take it off us. The top 6 will stay as they are (with maybe a couple swapping position). As for tactics. Munro was clearly a ga...

Re: Match Thread - Alfreton 2-2 Southport
The disallowed goal was possibly the worst decision I’ve ever seen watching Southport. And by God there are some contenders. Absolutely. Their keeper had flapped at a couple previous to that, so he goes down when Archer beats him to the ball and the ref buys it. The dissent shown to the ref in the ...
