Re: Darlington Predictions
Bookies make us favourites... Better weather for football... Can't be as bad as Saturday.. Has to be a home win.

Re: Peterborough Sports Predictions
Just checking The Book, and The Posh were unbeaten at home on that October Monday 3rd. It was 3-3 with 30 seconds to go when the magnificent Peter Harrison broke away to score the winner. In the return game with veteran ref Arthur Ellis in charge Port were 3-1 ahead until Posh rescued a point with t...

Only need Jordan Archer to get injured again and we are well and truly up that famous creek.

I'll second those proposals.Hillsider wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 8:54 pm Scrap extra time. Just go straight to pens. No one wants an extra 30minutes on a Tuesday night in winter.
In the Prem I would have a space on the subs bench reserved for an English under 21 player.
Corners to be taken from inside the corner area not outside it.

What on earth is going on? Jack Doyle and Charlie Munro subbed after 15 mins for Watson and Hmani.

Port Dan wrote... "What if we never sold Carver? What if we had sold him but loaned him back till the end of the season like they did with Doug. Surely to me, that would make more sense considering he was bang in form. In so many games he dragged us over the line, Boston at home was a prime exa...

Hereford away.
Reading the preview of Saturday's match at Hereford reminded me that it was 50 years ago since that day in '72 when my late brother and myself set off on Boxing Day in my old Ford 100E for the long trip to Edgar St. We soon realised that unlike today, there were very few, if any, petrol stations ope...

Re: AFC Telford 0-3 Southport - Match Thread
Always enjoy a visit to Telford. The stewards were brilliant finding me a handy place to park and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Port were a different team from Saturday and limited Telford to few chances. Thought Jordan Archer worked his socks off and Connor was a constant menace. ...

Re: Match day Music
Don't like to criticise when volunteers are doing a good job, but it was pretty awful pre match yesterday. I don't have perfect hearing but it was impossible to carry out a conversation with my friends. I thought the problem in the stand had been sorted earlier in the season, but the volume has crep...

I'm with POTK on this one. You can call me a Grinch but why should we have to line the pockets of a ticket firm to gain entry? Port can do it for free and it will all be done without any human involvement. The lads will be up for this one and providing they haven't overdone on the Xmas pudding I can...

Re: Southport 1-1 Darlington (5-4) - Match thread
I can't remember a game played in worse conditions at Haig Ave. You had to feel for Tony Mac standing around getting soaked to the skin. His penalty save won us the game and was superb after 90 minutes in a cold downpour. IBR made a difference when introduced but sometimes he just tries to beat too ...

Definitely a step ahead of the refs we are used to. He had the Boston player booked for simulation while I was still expecting a penalty to be given. Wouldn't be surprised to see him higher up the league's very soon.

See Kyle Perry is playing for them. Liam will have to warn his young players not to be fooled by his antics. Remember him at Tamworth ten years ago.
