Re: League news
Massively past his sell by date along with that dour idiot Gordon Taylor, they’ve milked a very good living out of Football and sport.

Re: £2,000 Fine. . Is it fair?
All clubs fined should threaten en masse not to play next season . This current national league board are a bunch of jobs worth idiots whose handling of this whole major crisis has been nothing short of pathetic and moronic.

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56441839 Dion Charles gets international call up. Good for him! Absolutely, I’m delighted for him ; a talented talisman who could score goals and just as easily miss from 2 yards, but never hid and always seemed to be in the right place for the chances to arrive...

Jean Carr R.I.P.
Shocked and very sad to see Jean has passed away. Her and her husband Robert have been brilliant supporters of the club for many many years. I didn't know her too well, but whenever I spoke with her she was always, loyal, smiling and realistic about the Club and tremendously steadfast about the team...

Re: Rock and Roll Football @ SFC
I’m with Ralphy on this one. I’d imagine comedy or sport personality events done on an intermittent basis maybe more popular or even the occasional music night but with maybe different genres , rock, jazz, Irish , shanty . It’s a tough one to predict, but less is more when it comes to promoting even...

Re: Good news?
Great to hear your take on things David, it’s great we’ve got some younger fans and posters - that’s good news. I enjoyed reading your comments and the points you make. Up the port and yes I’ll be a supporter however they’re playing and it’s good to air your views, in my case it’s called therapy. Ir...

Re: Squad assessment
Sorry, but I’m going to agree to disagree totally on the Liams our saviour line. If you want to call it survival then we can thank James, Steve Brown and Christine and of course Phil who funded bringing in all the players whom we’ve been able to sell on not including those like Osborne now at Steven...

Re: Season declared null and void
Correct descision made... eventually. We cannot sweep this season under the carpet though, 17th place in the sixth tier at the time of null and void is our worst finish since 1980/81. We have been saved from a forty odd year embarrassment, but let's use this as a 'get out of jail free card' and sor...

Re: James Tedford gone
James has been instrumental in keeping the club functioning, this is a major loss - he’s been a terrific asset , I’m sorry but I wish it had been the football management team which had gone instead of him. I’m gutted but am delighted because he’s truly earned the right to progress his career upwards.

Re: Season declared null and void
Watch for Gloucester, Fylde and possibly York appeal this possibly to court? Alex Petheram Gloucester Co-owner made some interesting comments on Gloucestershire Live 3 days ago. He’s definitely the sort along with Eamonn McGurk to have a go this might not be over just yet? Presumably, the “7” again...

Re: What can supporters do to help?
Anyway , what can we do, well I’m fortunate enough to be able to carry on paying my membership fee. If people can’t afford to do this and I’m sure there are plenty then, charity begins at home absolutely, but just carry on supporting the club whenever the season eventually returns. Loyalty pledges a...

Re: What can supporters do to help?
I was under the impression that this was a football forum (with an occasional pithy quip or joke), not a political one. Comments about how some clubs are irresponsible with money would be of value, ones about people having children when they cannot afford it is not.... But as you have mentioned it,...

Re: Southport v Torquay FA Trophy
There seems to be a great deal of bitterness and animosity being directed at Torquay. I am no fan of Torquay but really, is it necessary to get so uptight about this match? Almost makes me wish that Halifax had won in the last round! I think it’s more that many fans would not agree that a club shou...

Re: Southport v Torquay FA Trophy
Nice one Falkland and Swedes
, I loved the former reference to rats leaving the ship, but in the light of our excellent Director of Operations recent comments I’d have preferred mice leaving the church and seen heading north down the M5 towards the pure stadium

Re: Carry on football!
There's absolutely nothing in that interview to support the view that Torquay are 'happy to let a smaller club pay for their testing'. The chairman has made the offer. We don't know whether it has been accepted, whether that has prompted Torquay to do their own testing, or if it has changed nothing...

Re: Southport v Torquay FA Trophy
On the plus side if this crazy season continues? then the 3 loanees have been training full time and and although young will be in good shape and I’m sure they’ll help our cause . 19 sounds young but in footballing terms it’ the age most prospective players start to make an impact.
