Re: Southport v Curzon - Sun 2nd Jan - 3pm (Match Off)

It's I suppose fair enough to discuss the drainage issues, and whether or not the pitch used to be better. However what is not.open to debate is as we speak we have one of the worst pitches in the division. Moreover pitches at clubs in local lower league's are better than ours right now. So there's...

Re: Southport v Curzon - Sun 2nd Jan - 3pm (Match Off)

The pitch is obviously conducive to our best home form for many a year. I fancy us on any heavy ground against anyone in this league with our superior fitness and Nobody wanted this game called off, we’re all pissed off but I’m sure the Club is even more pissed off. Give them a break they’ve investe...

Re: Southport v Curzon - Sun 2nd Jan - 3pm (Match Off)

No worse than the rain before Hereford and that drained, another crap refereeing decision . With that amount of rain in such a short space of time it’s bound to flood at first . Really feel for all the loyal fans who travelled, now get another Tuesday night with 650 people in attendance 😡

Ref called it after standing water , but agree it would have partly drained off in time for kick off 😞

Re: Southport v Curzon - Sun 2nd Jan - 3pm

First game of the new year(hopefully). Liam has some selection headaches in that will he recall Carver, Hmami, Edwards etc after the impressive 4-0 win over Farsley? Curzon are a very good side and this will be a difficult match Tight game: Southport 1 Curzon 0 Att 1285 Hope you’re right on both co...

Re: Club Memorial Posting

Poignant and very sad to see some familiar faces passing over. Many thanks to all of them for their loyal support and for sprinkling some stardust on the pitch at Haig Ave on their journey to vastly improve our home performances RIP

Re: Dion Charles

Why would we be so stupid as to trade up to a 25% sell on Santa Claus to pay off a measly fine of 2x £5 k one of which we appealed and apparently won to lose out on maybe £75k + sell on Sum . We sold him to Accrington not Wonga . Sleep well and give your imagination a rest as it’s not happened and w...

Yes the Morecambe Xmas Carol got an airing on Tuesday , I seem to recollect Southport and Bradford City exchanging gourmet food chants about sticking Lancashire Hotpot and Yorkshire pudding up each other’s orifice🤣

Re: Southport v Farsley 3pm Tuesday 28th Dec

Complacency is the banana skin here, work rate is the best panacea for this so need to start off on the front foot and put in a strong first 20 minutes. As we all know from many bitter experiences odds on favourites on paper get turned over.
Please don’t let this happen today 🙏

Fair result eventually, physical battle but Would have taken this before the game , but obviously against 10 men for 20 mins you’d hope to win it. Will be deemed to be a very good point if we can win next 2 home matches.

Re: SHOCKER! WATSON HAS GOT CHESTER JOB!......

Strange appointment, failed hands down at York with funds available and a full time squad. Chester must be paying decent money to him as well and he has taken his assistants I think so they won’t be saving money on wages on the previous Statler and Waldorf combo. They’d have done a lot better to get...

Re: Marine / FAO Ancient Mariner

It is extraordinary, well done to them.you do tend to despair how little support we get from the town. If we had only contrived to beat Tranmere in that replay, we’d have played Spurs. we might have had a few extra ‘fans’ for a while, though they’d probably have evaporated by now. Totally agree, sa...

Re: FA Trophy 4 - draw

Hopefully we’ll be wearing our actual kit against them this time. That TV game where we had to borrow their away kit was the height of the Clapham farce at the time. Absolute Shitshow. Unfortunately, that mess up turned out to be apparently 100% all down to Solihull and the match officials, but tha...

Great win in the fog, frustration at not being able to go , puncture this morning and no spare and no Jack in the car these days 😳, just pleased they won and took the the prize money.
