Re: Southport 1-0 Darlington - Match Thread
I thought he led with one leg on the ground, perceived by the ref and darlos goalie as a straight red.

Re: Southport 1-0 Darlington - Match Thread
Fair minded quote from Darlo Forum - vey good support by their fans and well done to ours in the second half saw the team over the line “Poor game tonight, first half we did not deserve to be behind to what was a scrappy goal, but game was not a classic. As with the other two games, but more so in t...

Re: Boston 3 - 5 Southport match
One careless moment in the middle let Boston through for their 1st. Port dropped a little deeper after that but never looked in trouble. Indeed a sixth nearly arrived after an energetic burst from Carberry and a good cross that the defence only just cleared. No issues for the first 88 mins. Port di...

Re: Away coaches.
Maybe it’s time for a new independent Supporters Club to be set up , to wipe the slate clean from all previous encumbrances and baggage and use this to be promote some fund raising to help fund primarily Official Supporters Club travel, where members are accountable for their behaviour and maybe pet...

Re: Injuries
Liam is not signing anyone , we have been desperately unlucky again with injuries , no money in the club so we need new investors or a mid table finish beckons We lost yesterday 4-0 too Everton youth team looks like a bottom four finish this season. Unless we get a new manager. Very unfair I suspec...

Re: Away coaches.
Thanks very much Dan for all your hard work last season and all your tremendous efforts to get the show on the road this season. I think that inflation, cost of fuel for operators and supporters rising home costs may well have had a further impact on numbers as well making it very difficult to susta...

Re: Bolton (H)
Trialist B has had 2 x 15 mins cameos in the last 2 games , difficult to make a meaningful impression so if he’s on trial start him from the beginning and give the lad a fair chance by playing him a minimum of 60-70 mins , it’s not rocket science

Re: Bootle (A)
I think the club have correctly stood by George since his career threatening injury, and I’m happy that my small contribution has gone towards paying his wages. Any club that puts someone in the garbage after a traumatic injury is not a club worth supporting for me , it sends out a message of fair m...

Re: Southport v Marine
I think we will start the season with 5-3-2 being the favoured shape, that was our most successful formation last season and we played it at Lancaster. However playing with three central midfielders and two strikers means that Woods and Watson suffer because there is no place for them. They are eit...

Re: Fixture release 22/23
I've been worried about this expansion for a while and seeing the fixture list just brings it home. It may only be four extra games, but that's four extra games on top of attempting to put together runs in the Trophy and the FA Cup.As yellowflower says, 5/6 games per month from August to April - th...

Re: Todays game -Blackpool FC
There are numerous friendlies for the trialists to impress , ease them in to big up their confidence , not like you to be so negative have you been eating danish blue rather than a nice bit of Wensleydale cheese lad . Get yourself a large port and lighten up for the first proper fixture away to ????...

RIP Alex and condolences to all you family. He was a terrific player throughout his long service and a loyal stalwart and supporter as loyal as any other player I don’t doubt we’ve had in our history. What a loss what we wouldn’t give to have a player remotely of your class and temperament bolster o...

Re: RIP Billy Bingham
Dear Billy RIP , you arrived at a non entity of a club and gave it an identity and a history, but hopefully some time soon history may repeat itself. The club gave you a start in your managerial career which helped and led you to even greater and legendary success at the highest level . You had the ...
