Re: Conflict of interests?

I think it is right to dampen supporter expectations at this stage, it would hardly be prudent to advertise to other clubs that we we're in the market for a striker, and perhaps were not ( though I understand fan frustration ). Personally, if we aspire to retain or increase our lead standing we need...

Re: Tyler Walton

Bit left field this one, few of their players came out of our game with any credit. I hope it isn't to cover a further departure, but welcome Tyler all the same!

Re: Marcus Carver

Marc Lloyd-Williams may be a good example of why we shouldn’t just rush for a guy who has a load of goals in a lesser league. Marc scored 319 goals in the welsh league, either side of a 3 goal spell with us. We signed him on the back of a 68 goal in only 55 game spell at Bangor. Huge shame it didn’...

Re: Marcus Carver

The best signing we could make at the moment would be securing Terry McPhillips, the change in the team since Jon left has been night and day.

Re: Marcus Carver

I might be wrong, but jack Sampson has not scored a goal in 16 attempts so he can stay where he is. I'm on the same page, considering he's in a team who's expected to dominate the division, it's poor and he'd be a step backwards. Until the sponsorhip money is realised, if ever, I would expect the r...

Re: Marcus Carver

As a striker, Newell has very different technical and physical attributes to Carver, the latter is obvious. Carver has been particularly good with his arial duals, allowing us to retain possession higher up the pitch and being an effective partner to Archer. Newell gets himself in great positions an...

Re: Leamington 1-1 Southport - Match Thread

Not a game that will live long in the memory, very few clear cut chances and on the balance of play a draw was a fair result. Our set piece delivery was a bit of a let down, most corners failed to beat the first man, while a whistle happy ref stifled any advantage we had from our throw ins. I though...

Re: Southport 4-1 Boston - Match Thread

Cracking result and a marked improvement on the attendance. If we can only improve our away form then we can really make strides to our league position. Also nice to have two potent strikers in our side, Carver now heads up the goalscoring charts.

Wasn’t liam deployed as defensive midfielder at some stage? Perhaps he’s been drafted in to give us cover while Jack is serving his suspension.

Thank. God. For. That. Tremendous effort by the lads, well done. The port supporters sounded great over the radio.

Sounds like Chester are putting on the pressure. This is where we really need a few experienced heads to take the sting out of the game and keep the younger heads calm. Horrible listening to this 😬

In my teens I was interviewed for a job at Argos, the interviewer turned out to be a port fan. We regaled each other with memories of the Notts County FA Cup game, I thought I must have this in the bag... didn't get the job
