Re: Club statement (Leamington)

Are you seriously suggesting a part-time non-league football club offer cash/hospitality rewards for snitching on young fans having fun? They may be having fun, but as we've (hopefully) all established, it's a massive annoyance and detriment to both the game itself and all of the fans, both home an...

Re: Club statement (Leamington)

As it seems as if this knob is going to get off scot-free, maybe we could offer a reward to season ticket holders, or fans who are otherwise able to prove long-time support to catch/ identify any future perpetrators? That way (hopefully) we could verify that the person who catches them is a true fan...

Re: Bradford Park Avenue predictions

2-0 win, Carver and Woods to score with a Watson and Walton assist respectively.

Att: 908

(I will just remind everyone I predicted the Leamington win ;))

Re: Southport 1-0 Leamington - Match Thread

David1276. We may (and do ) disagree on quite a few things but the posts you make are always thought out and not just limited to LW out, or if we lose this must be the end for LW. Hence why I always read them carefully and try and reply respectfully (You also have a sense of humour that I like :-) ...

Re: Southport 1-0 Leamington - Match Thread

I have to admit, as someone who generally posts more when we lose, I never want to lose any game, and if we were in a good position I couldn't give a flying whether we're playing long ball, 10 men behind the ball at all times or anything like that. It's just easier to comment that we did X, Y and Z ...

Re: Club statement (Leamington)

David 1276. Cheers for the reply. Rather than more (or better) stewards, perhaps a sharp shooter armed with a tranquilizer gun, sat atop the main stand is the answer :-) If it's good enough to bring down an elephant it would work a treat on other animals !. Checked the statement on the Club Site an...

Re: Southport 1-0 Leamington - Match Thread

Very well said cavjj. The alienation by some who tarnish all of the younger fans with the same brush as the 'wrong-uns' is unfair and doesn't take into account the 100+ young fans in attendance every game who never cause any issues and sing to support their club, more than almost everyone on here th...

Re: Club statement (Leamington)

Gloucester man. Totally agree with you about Leamington Fc. Ref the reason, could well be part of the protest about the bans issued by the club. Perhaps one of the banned fans, who still posts on this site could confirm or debunk that thought. I don't know who this person is, but I do know all of t...

Re: Club statement (Leamington)

2.stand amongst or move them off the back wall It was nothing to do with the lads behind the goal in the stand. Very easy to blame the ones who make the noise when this random kid came out of nowhere that no one I know recognised just ran on the pitch for a laugh. I don't condone running onto the p...

Re: Southport 1-0 Leamington - Match Thread

Nice easy win against a dirty but hopeless Leamington side. Carver made a huge difference despite not scoring. Could've had 4 or 5, once again finishing training is required I think for all of our forwards although again Watson played a blinder as did Bainbridge and Evans had his best game in an SFC...

Re: Marcus Carver

By the looks of things, Scunthorpe seem to have already signed his replacement on a permanent... hopefully he'll do just well enough so that we can sign him on a free next Summer, but not too well so Scunthorpe don't want him back 😂.

Re: Bradford

Disappointed. Fully understanding of weather postponements but changing a fixture only 1 week away does not seem right. People make plans. I think the idea of it was probably to allow more rest time in-between games, and get the most people through the gate possible which unfortunately seems to hav...

Re: Southport v Longridge

I hope LW sends the team out with clear instructions that there should be NO long ball tactics used tonight and that they should use the game as a competative training session and play the ball to feet, beat players, gain some confidence. The result matters little (or less), getting the team to pla...

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

I get their not a massive upgrade but given the choice I would have them two over Liam. Even with our woeful start last season, we were still higher than Chester in the table when they were sacked. Spennymoor are 13th and we would've finished well above them last season if it wasn't for our end of ...

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

I don't get what people see in those 2. They did OK at Salford with all the money in the world, and failed miserably at both Spennymoor and Chester. I'd rather stick with what we already have if I'm honest.

Re: Leamington

I'm gonna say we'll probably bounce back in this one, as much as I dislike Watson it's unfair to say we weren't at least very unlucky last weekend. With Leamington probably a worse squad on paper as well; SFC 3-0 Leamington C. Doyle, Archer, Hmami Att: 803 Watson says in his interview that our luck ...

Didn't we have an appeal accepted a season or so ago? Might be totally wrong but I seem to remember we did.

Re: Darlington 3-2 Southport - FA Cup - Match Thread

One of the worst parts about all of this is that Watson sounds as if he's here for the long run by his interview. There seems to be no worry or eagerness to do things differently about his demeanour in interviews, he's far far too safe in his position. If Ian Kyle reads this, as I believe he probabl...
