Re: National League Statement today

I think it would be a good idea to show our appreciation of the clubs that did stand together against the injustices that went on. Maybe, A few moments of applause as their teams are announced at Haig Ave, not enough to encourage them but enough to show our thanks and unity.Given enough media publi...

I'm a little worried we haven't heard about Liam's latest bowel movements to be honest. I do hope he is going regularly.

I sincerely hope that ALL clubs think long and hard about making the wearing of face coverings mandatory until the covid virus has been brought under control and all people that can be, have been vaccinated. I personally think that the selfish refuseniks are far outnumbered by those who would be wi...

Re: New Director

I can only think of about ten reasons why this is a bonkers idea. There's an article elsewhere that quotes Tony Evans as describing Stephen Vaughan as "a friend" and "a good guy" - so excuse me if I take a lot of convincing on this one. I’ m sure Ian Kyle & Liam Watson will ...

Re: Season declared null and void

It beggars belief that, having arranged a binding democratic vote of their members in accordance with their own rules, any organisation could possibly give air time to a number of disgruntled clubs. Basically these clubs are saying forget the rules, let us have a mini league, sod the teams that don...

Re: Good news?

Yep,nuff said No, not enough said. When crowds do return to football, non league clubs more than any others will need fans to return in as large as possible numbers. Bums on seats or feet on the terraces may well make the difference between survival or death of clubs. I am ready to accept that ther...

Re: Good news?

Vaccination passports to football grounds seems to be the way forward and the way things are progressing it should be possible by the start of the new season. Personally I will continue to wear a mask and i would hope that all supporters will do the same. I don't want to risk getting or transmittin...

Re: Match Thread Halifax Town v Southport - FA Trophy

Great result. It must be so hard to focus with so much uncertainty about the rest of the season and then added to that the weather today must make it really tough. Good to get a win. Take the prize money and now call this season off.

Re: Carry on football!

The whole thing is a complete mess and will only get messier the longer we try to ignore the elephant that is now taking up most of the room. There is a simple solution to all of this, cancel the season and wait for this to blow over. There is a clear light at the end of the tunnel and a near guaran...

Re: Darlington off

The full range of symptoms and outcomes of this disease are well known. Weve been told that the two affected players are not symptomless. If so, they will certainly not be in the peak health required of a professional athlete. Hopefully they will quickly recover, but even mild symptoms often linger...

I suppose that the two sufferers will be out for a while. What makes you say that? Not everyone who has Covid is on a ventilator hanging on for life like the government would have you believe. 50000 infections and nearly 1000 deaths reported due to Covid today. Football is the elephant in the room here that thd Govt dare'nt say anything against due to the unpopularity it would cause amongst it's precious electorate. The fact is that due to those figures-football ar present shouldn't be ta...
