Re: League news

Cheerio Barwick....take your mates with you too please.

Football at this level is for and about fans, players and volunteers and not league officials or their sponsors.

Well said on the website Ian Kyle.....keep looking after southport, don’t bother with them....

Re: £2,000 Fine. . Is it fair?

I think the Dover Chairman wants to make a stand, regardless of what outcome results. A Dover fan launched a Just Giving page to raise the £40,000 fine. Launched 2 days ago - currently raised £1,445. This could be a nice opportunity for Dover to crowdfund and go down the Ebbsfleet route. A good ide...

Re: £2,000 Fine. . Is it fair?

The whole process of fining clubs for these breaches is obviously ludicrous and despicable. Unfortunately, a vote of 'no confidence' in the League Board won't be successful because many clubs wanted to carry on playing to the end of the season, so the proposal would be defeated. I also very much do...

Re: £2,000 Fine. . Is it fair?

I completely sympathise with Dover and think financial penalties to be ludicrous. However, there's another way of looking at this. Dover have been given a £40,000 fine. All their staff were furloughed weeks ago, their running costs have been the minimum possible since they stopped playing. What abo...

Re: £2,000 Fine. . Is it fair?

And WHO are the ‘independent panel’....how are they selected and by whom? How much were THEY paid? Did the member clubs agree they are appropriate panel members?

Let’s see the league be transparent to its stakeholders.

Re: £2,000 Fine. . Is it fair?

Ridiculous decision. They’re supposed to represent their clubs. Instead they’re punishing them for doing right. You have to ask what planet are these bureaucrats on. ..and what are the league doing with that money...no doubt goes on some fat cat salaries or their own consultancies to make such decis...

Re: Season declared null and void

Good decision to null and void. With regard season tickets it has to reflect individuals economic circumstances. I'm still employed and paid season ticket so its money spent that I dont expect back and the club need the revenue. I recognise others may not have that capacity, particularly if made une...

Sad not to have football until at least August but the right decision at this time.

Re: National League up the anti

If they should want to, the FA could intervene now. It’s bringing the game into disrepute. They don’t have to wait for the formalities. The guy who now runs the national league worked in the judicial team at the FA for much of his career previously. They must know each other pretty well already..

Dover have furloughed everybody and effectively closed down.
If all the clubs do this they'll have no one available on the admin side to answer all the charges levelled at them!!

Re: All matches off

We've all said for years about people involved who run these leagues not being in touch with what's happening at grass roots-well for me here is your proof...There's no empathy or indeed sympathy with clubs-just a hard fast "these are the rules" take it or leave it attitude which stinks. ...

Re: All matches off

I see a few clubs have already got around the potential sanctions by having an early pitch inspection and calling off the games early. I expect an announcement at 9am from the club to say following a pitch inspection by a local referee, the pitch is frozen and based on a forecast will not be fit fo...
