Re: League news

There are enough clubs to force an EGM and vote of no confidence in the chairman and the board, however nowhere near enough to pass the motion.
Barwick has walked before he was pushed....
There are a few more that need to go yet.

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

David Morgan has started regularly for Accy recently. However i think his win record when starting is very poor.

Re: £2,000 Fine. . Is it fair?

It's becoming a joke.
The league are an embrassment. There should be a vote of no confidence in the committee.
Poor Dover, 40k fine and 12 point deduction - they will fold and reform...

That was my understanding and hence the switch to part time players and a reduced cost base.

Re: New Director

Didn't really tell us much about Tony Evans, other than he was a mate of Liam's.
He didn't seem very prepared for the questions and was very vague when answering.

Re: New Director

No idea about his business acumen, but has he put any money into the club and what is his area of expertise.
I see Liam has become a multiple company director over the last 6 months.

Squad assessment

As the season is over, it may be worth assessing the squad we currently have. I make it 17 players, of which we never saw Marcus Wood, so difficult to asess: Dan Hanford - late re- signing, wasn't initial choice. Good shot stopper, but prone to silly errors and poor kicking. Suspect he will probably...

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

Devarn Green seems to be getting a regular start now and has scored for Scunthorpe already today.

Re: James Tedford gone

He was good at his job, but I suspect as a Hodgkinson signing, his wages were significantly higher than most in this league.

Re: Season declared null and void

Correct decision, but there will be further issues: Some clubs are looking to take legal action against the decision I'm certain that there will be a motion of no confidence in the NL board in the way they have managed this season and lead the clubs up a garden path assuring them grants would be ava...

Re: What can supporters do to help?

Too many clubs standing up to the league now for the league to penalise all.
Once the votes are in N&S will be null and void and everyone knows this.
The league's issue will be how to deal with Dover, who are the only National League side refusing to play.

Re: All matches off

There are now officially enough votes from N & S clubs to vote null and void.
This assumes resolution to split votes between steps passes.
This needs a 75% majority and is not guaranteed.

Re: All matches off

I see a few clubs have already got around the potential sanctions by having an early pitch inspection and calling off the games early. I expect an announcement at 9am from the club to say following a pitch inspection by a local referee, the pitch is frozen and based on a forecast will not be fit for...

Down to the bare bones, but we had enough good chances to win the match.
Better side for most of the second half.

Slow start, but created some chances at the end.
Good job we signed the 3 loanees - no Challinor, Carver, Newell or Winnard.
Marcus Wood is on the bench...

Aldershot v Chesterfield has also gone very late.
With the new beast from the east due this week, not even sure if the game will be played if it gets called off.

Re: Southport v Torquay FA Trophy

I'd rather watch the stream as included when I purchased my season ticket, and just donate the money direct to the club if theres a way to do this as opposed to purchased the stream as well. I'd prefer every penny went to us right now than be split with Torquay. So have I got this right? If a membe...

Re: Carry on football!

Don’t you have to register your personal details for testing? I’m guessing most of our staff and players don’t live in PR9 postcode area? I suspect the club have footed the costs of the tests x2 from what I’ve read but happy to stand corrected. Yes you do, but as they work in the PR9 area, it would...

Re: Carry on football!

As PR9 is a SA variant hotspot, there are plenty of free walk in centres for non symptomatic cases. I assume we have used these.
So should not be a financial cost to the club.

Not necessarily. It needs both parties to agree on any lost revenue.
