Re: Southport 1-0 Darlington - Match Thread

Great work rate from all players. I thought we were the better team for most of the match. The two centre halves were excellent, Carberry was very busy and Bainbridge grew into the game and dominated midfield. As for Tyler Walton, it was a bad tackle, but he did try and pull out. Still not convinced...

Re: Peterborough Sports Predictions

I'm sure I read an article saying their paying budget is in the bottom third or the league and they would have preferred to play in NLS as the standard is not as high.
I think we should be favourites, but they may well stick men behind the ball and make it difficult for us.

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

We had a load of add ons as part of the fee, that have not come to fruition, but we may get a percentage of the sell on fee.

Re: Bootle (A)

I think the club have correctly stood by George since his career threatening injury, and I’m happy that my small contribution has gone towards paying his wages. Any club that puts someone in the garbage after a traumatic injury is not a club worth supporting for me , it sends out a message of fair ...

Re: Tranmere home friendly

The two centre halves were very poor. The full backs were too far forward and left the centre halves exposed. Played ok in second 20m of first half and looked dangerous on the attack.
Good strike by Munro.

I think he may have one more season before retiring - expect him to join a NPL W team paying decent money

Nice earner though even @ £17 pp 6000 = 100K
They don't get it all. Playoff revenue is a percentage and rest distributed

Re: Southport 1-1 AFC Telford - Match Thread

Let's be realistic. We were competitive for the first 30 mins and should have been 2 up( hit woodwork and failed to put away scramble afterwards) before they scored a soft goal when everyone stood still. Then the legs totally went. Three games in five days/ four in nine has really taken its toll. Ho...

Re: Which teams will get promoted out of our league?

If Neil can recreate what he did at Chester, hopefully we’ll be playing Southport in NLN on Boxing Day, 2023. Unless, of course, Liam is able to secure promotion for SFC next season. I didn't think a 3 sided 2000 capacity ground would meet ground grading requirements for NLN, but congratulations on...

Re: Which teams will get promoted out of our league?

With Brackley losing Gateshead just need a point to go up.
Guiseley almost down.
Either Warrington or Scarborough will join Buxton in joining the NLN

Elsewhere Marine and Skem have gained promotion today via the playoffs

Cunnigham has lots of money at Buxton.
Team full of experienced NLN players on good money and brought in a few from York who were on very good money.
