Celebration Wall
Some heartwarming plaques on the new celebration wall unveiled on the website today. A wonderful idea. https://southportfc.net/first-plaques-up-on-our-celebration-wall/ Despite the disagreements and the disappointments it shows the role the club plays in peoples lives, and the role people play in th...

Re: New Signing
What`s the situation with Declan Evans who we supposedly signed from Mossley with whom he stayed on loan till the season end. Welcome to the Port Keenan. Returned to us near the end of last season as Mossley’s season finished earlier than ours, but was injured so didn’t feature. As far as I’m aware...

Re: New Signing
Ticks all the boxes. Think we just need another winger, striker and perhaps a centre mid and we’re all set. A little bit optimistic but I agree totally, £££££ could be a stumbling block though. Would you settle for a Whalley, Morgan & Charles :?: Haha I'd happily settle for any league one quali...

Re: Update with Liam and Ian
I'm surprised we're sticking with Kappa. I assumed when a bunch of SFC/Kappa products were reduced in the club shop at the end of the season it was to make room for a new manufacturer.

Portchat: We need a bigger squad to deal with injuries!
Also Portchat: We should be signing players with known injury problems!

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!
Not suggesting this applies to Poku but with a squad our size I don’t think we’ve room for anyone you wouldn’t expect a full season from. Don’t know if he is prone to injury but he did miss a bulk of football lately with a bad one (ACL?).
But I’d welcome back the Poku we knew, whatever his age.

I’m sure agreements will be in place. Contracts won’t start for another few weeks so wouldn’t expect to have heard much official yet.

The guy who founded Music Magpie bought all their remaining unallocated shares part way through last season, so I suspect they’ve got a few extra pennies in their budget this year.

Re: Possible transfer targets for next season etc...
I’d suspect GN and perhaps RB will be given pre-season to prove their fitness, if they want to.
I’d be surprised if IBR is kept on.

Re: Playoffs
Playoffs always a gamble. We trailed Brackley and Fylde all season, but for quite a while we were ahead of York and Boston…what might have been Yes. For a while it was looking good. I've yet to read a rational analysis of what suddenly went wrong and shifted us from top of the form league to relega...

Re: Changes to football rules?
Removing playoffs would kill the season for most clubs with 15 games still to go, and I suspect attendances would suffer too. I agree with Swedes and would like more retrospective punishment to stop all the “professionalism” that goes on. I’d also like being a dickhead to become a red card offence. ...

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23
Here's what a bulk of the other teams charge for standing. Only 7 clubs (in bold) have released their prices for 22/23 so far (from what I can find). All 22/23 ticket prices include early bird offers. All 21/22 prices don't (to try and reflect cost of the extra two games). Kings Lynn prices are from...

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23
An increase from £178.50 last year for the early bird offer on an adult terrace ticket to £240 this year. There may be two extra home games, but there won't be extra Saturdays in the season so they'll be midweek matches which rules out a fair number of fans (including myself) from attending. As for...
