Re: Gloucester away-match day thread

Names on the backs of shirts would help any detailed analysis !. (Light blue touch paper and stand well back). So expect comment on game plan and performance.
Prediction wise, our goal difference will increase by 1 or 2
And we will be above either chorley or fylde in a month.

Well if we had won at home I could have gone on about the quality of the Gloucester double (sorry for the cheesy humour)....Er, up and down the Port

Fair warning. Gloucester has the longest platform in England, at over 600 mts.....platform 2 is not good news unless you enjoy a long amble.

I wonder what the data would suggest?
No idea on the data but I don't think there is any need to stockpile toilet rolls or tissues :!:

We could still get a points deduction for some spurious reason, like doing the right thing

Re: Post match interview with Liam

Rob does a fine job with the interviews. You have to remember this is the club’s own channel, not an independent media outlet. It’s not really appropriate to delve into the rumour mill or look for gotchas on the club’s own YouTube. Perhaps we should have a second such site called ewe tube just for ...

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

Reagan Ogle has also ended up at Hartlepool and may play at the weekend. Their website states that Marcus has given a good first impression. I was talking to some Bristol R supporters (we get a few of them in Bath) who went to the game at the mem and they were very impressed with him. Do you live i...

Re: Southport 1-0 Bradford Park Avenue - Match Thread

A win is a win 3pts well done SFC! In all honesty who expected us to be were we are? Let’s just enjoy the ride and back the team and who knows? I have to correct you on one point, I have been stating that we would make the playoffs all season, even when we only had 4 pts from 8 games, which did lea...

The fact we haven't taken 35 points from our last 11 games would upset a section of our fans
And we didn't win any points from all the cup games.....
Those fans should cool

Re: Southport 1-0 Bradford Park Avenue - Match Thread

Whatever League your team plays in there are games when you just have to grind out a result. Last nights match was one of those games. We missed the energy and centre forward play of Marcus but that was always going to be the case. If Connor is to be considered a striker it will take time for him t...

Re: Southport 1-0 Bradford Park Avenue - Match Thread

Seconded,PEIB, a great analysis of the game, POTK. Appreciated by another exile. Well done on getting over the line, Port! POTK gives an excellent summing up after each game and they are always a good unbiased, informative read. As a long distance exile home games are all but impossible to go to an...

A good summing up as ever POTK and very much appreciated by this exile. Still on the plus side a "local" game for me on saturday at Glos, no train changes journey of about an hour and 3 points.

Re: George Newell

It would indeed be great to see George back on saturday but I have total faith that LW will make the right decision not only for SFC but importantly for George. It would be a massive mistake to bring him back too soon and risk not having him available for the promotion push.

The last 11 league games have produced 9 wins, 2 draws & no defeats, or to put it another way, 29 pts out of a possible 33.

That's what good teams do they find a way.
Interesting games to come on saturday, Brackley - Chorley, Kiddy -York so if (sorry, when) we win at Glos the gap will close even more.

Re: Southport v Bradford P.A.

Hopefully the "floaters" will realise that a defeat against a side in the league above us is not a disaster and that our upward trajectory will continue, albeit with the occasional glitch. We are a good side and will continue to improve (as we have done all season), so there is good cause ...
