Re: Marcus Carver

Good news but a word of caution with Scunthorpe reporting " He has since missed the past fortnight with a recurring quad strain injury. He is looking to get back to full fitness during his time in Merseyside."

Re: FA Cup 2QR Draw

Bury AFC appear to be missing from the list of potential opponents, could be a bumper crowd if we draw them or Macclesfield!

Re: Banbury 3-1 Southport - Match Thread

Yesterday furious after watching us lose again, the killer was watching them pass the ball around at the back to kill the game, we couldn't get near them! Today disillusioned listening to Watson's interview, he's lost my backing, but better news about Cam so fingers crossed. Tomorrow optimistic abou...

Re: Banbury 3-1 Southport - Match Thread

I suspect both Ian and Liam (as board members) feel they have a duty towards the club to keep it operating, especially in these financially challenging times. If somebody came along with a pile of cash and said "I can take this to a higher level", I'm sure they'd listen. In which case the...

Re: Banbury 3-1 Southport - Match Thread

I don't understand what Liam and Ian get out of it. I am sure they have better things to do with their lives than bumble along like this. There was a saying often aimed at Clapham... 'shit or get off the pot' and it's becoming relevant to the current duo in charge. If Liam and Ian have any ambition...

@PortexileinBath Who the hell do you think you are to dictate to fans travelling miles to watch a football team week in week out??

Re: Fylde predictions

Logically after conceding three at Boston and four at Alfreton it will be five at Fylde, however games between the teams have been tight so I'm predicting a goalless draw in front of a smaller than expected crowd circa 1461 with 121 away supporters.

Re: Southport 0-0 AFC Telford -Match Thread

Absolutely dire again, watching Southport is like being a contestant in the Japanese game show Endurance!

The time has come for Watson to step aside for a manager who tries to play football and I don't care if that involves going down to come back up, anything is better than this!

Re: Alfreton 3-0 Southport match thread

I stood behind the goal for 90 minutes and not one shot headed in my direction. I'll be interested to hear Watson's excuses because I'm rapidly losing patience with him!

Re: Southport 0-3 Peterborough Sports - Match Thread

Surely our players are good enough to pass the ball around and retain possession? Why didn't we do that today and make the opposition chase in the heat? Why don't we play out from the back? Yes the pitch looks fantastic so why aren't we using it? I really don't understand why Watson chose to play th...

Re: Peterborough Sports Predictions

Interestingly they played with 10 men for most of the second half last Sat and Buxton's goal was scored by Jason Gilchrist. Doubt they'll be a pushover, maybe 1-1 with 851 in attendance. Only certainty is our two kick-offs will end up going out for throw-ins!

Re: Away coaches.

I guess there are options to run coaches where demand makes them cost effective so it's worth getting a price on a match by match basis from the companies who will take footy fans. Could work for some of the more local matches? Rail fares can be more affordable if you're clever so if you pair up wit...

Perfect opportunity to keep the ball, see how many passes we can string together and make the opposition chase and do the work. I'm not optimistic that this will happen.

Re: Tranmere home friendly

Zero atmosphere which is disappointing because that's one of the main reasons for attending a live football match! Very little if any banter between the fans and the stewards and police had little if nothing to do! I hope the stay aways return! Much better performance than against Lancaster, the hig...

Re: Todays game -Blackpool FC

The lads who went down the far end are also the lads who create a great atmosphere inside the stadium, week in week out home and away. We all made mistakes at that age, football is nothing without banter between fans, let's get the segregation right and move on. On the pitch I liked the look of Bell...
