Re: Emotions run high at Goodison

7 point deduction for a disgraceful pitch invasion.

Wonder what they'd be like if they won anything, will I live long enought to see it?

Re: Club Statement-Season Tickets

Let's, at least, have no more talk about how much Preston Knob End or W***n Athletic charge for Championship Football. Never understood the argument: "its only £40 more to watch Championship footballer", you're going to spend a lot more than £40 a year getting to those places. It's like t...

Re: Club Statement-Season Tickets

Seems fair enough.
The few juniors who buy season tickets can pay in instalments.
Students 18+ are classed as concessions.

Re: Changes to football rules?

Actually having 90 minutes of football would be nice, so stop the clock every time the ball is out of play/dead.
Time-wasting would be impossible.

Play offs are fine but those seeking promotion should play off against teams in the league above who are facing relegation.

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23

Haven’t match day prices been frozen for all groups and season tickets increased for all groups? Still between £0 and £5 for a youngster if pay on the day? Yes, that's correct. But the junior season ticket has had the biggest % hike in price to presumably bring it into line with other season ticket...

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23

The other main factor which has seemingly been overlooked is the product that people are paying for. Football is different in this regard, as people will watch their team and not (usually) swap around for a 'better deal' elsewhere, but there still needs to be a balance between price and product. We...

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23

I also wonder how many people sit in the stand after only paying to stand on the terraces as you can just wander into the stand without anyone checking whether you've actually paid to go in there. I recall early last season that cards were being checked on entrance to the Main Stand but this had ce...

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23

Sorry to bring up a perhaps thorny issue but shouldn’t a fans group be around to liaise with the club on issues like this? Didn’t we have one? I know trusts require time, money & ability to attend meetings so not as easy as but shouldn’t TIY be revitalised/reinvigorated? Alternatively, is there...

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23

I suppose it was inevitable that prices would go up. As much as no one likes to spend more - that’s life. Once you take the extra 2 games into account then it’s not a huge per game increase (especially as the prices have been frozen for so long) We moan about how little the club has and how we want...

We're not playing Huddersfield.

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23

I'm a bit confused by the membership benefits. Says it includes a PDF version of the programme which is worth £46 yet a programme subscription last season was £20. Is this an indication there'll be a bigger and better programme next season? I know Rob referred to some possible changes in the pipelin...

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23

Not good news if your on a low income wage, don't mind a small rise say £15-£20 ln membership and season ticket prices gate prices have been stagnant for about three years now an increase in In this should in my opinion rise to £15(terrace) £17(stand) loyal fans seem to be hard done because of when ...

Re: Season Ticket Prices 2022/23

Freezing gate prices whilst hiking the prices for the most loyal supporters, especially the junior ones, seems a pretty awful strategy. I get the club needs to increase income but surely a modest increase in both gate prices and season tickets would be more appropriate than penalising season ticket ...

Re: Southport 1-1 AFC Telford - Match Thread

Seems like it's the same nucleus of players next season. What will be different? Whilst we've got most of the current squad signed up for next season it doesn't necessarily mean they will be automatic choices for the starting line up. If we sign better players in the summer current regulars may bec...

Re: Southport 1-1 AFC Telford - Match Thread

That mid-season run has given the false impression we are almost a play-off team who just missed out. Now the season can be seen as a whole and the final standings are being borne out, we are miles away. It's been a dire final third of the season but I'd hardly describe 6 points below a play off pl...

Re: Which teams will get promoted out of our league?

If Neil can recreate what he did at Chester, hopefully we’ll be playing Southport in NLN on Boxing Day, 2023. Unless, of course, Liam is able to secure promotion for SFC next season. I didn't think a 3 sided 2000 capacity ground would meet ground grading requirements for NLN, but congratulations on...

Re: Which teams will get promoted out of our league?

Pleased there are no South Shields, they would have spent a fortune again in the summer and would have started next season as one of the favourites. I would rather Scarborough came up, they are better supported than Warrington and feel like a more 'proper' outfit to me. I remember playing them in t...

Do you really think their main focus has been 4 Lancs Trophy games at the expense of 42 league games?
