You're a Southport supporter?!

Bumped into a fellow Sandgrounder, identifiable by his pin badges at the self service checkouts at Tesco in Hindley yesterday.

So Portchatters, when have you randomly bumped into a fellow supporter?

Extract of an article written about sleeping pills in football with Mike Phenix mentioned during the first half of the article, from The Athletic : Mike Phenix cannot really remember Paul Carden calling him over. He cannot really remember Southport’s manager sending him on against Kidderminster Harr...

David Morgan and Ross Sykes both scored for Accrington tonight from the spot but Dion missed as they lost on penalties to Oldham in the League Cup.

Re: Southport 0- 2 Huddersfield

Doesn't really matter to us but Huddersfield are not a strong Championship side, anything but. They struggled last season and wouldn't be surprised to see them style again.

Looks a bit like our defence looking for the ball last season :D
Just as a matter of interest who are the players shown in the picture?
Trialists to make up the numbers, another ambitious move.
I can see Jordan Archer and just in front of him I think is Marcus Wood.

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

The aforementioned Mr Morgan played the full 90 minutes as Accy lost 7-0 at Peterborough. I believe Dion Charles is currently on international duty with Northern Ireland.

Toto Nsiala helped Ipswich keep a clean sheet as Paul Cook returned to Wigan with a 0-0 draw.

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56441839 Dion Charles gets international call up. Good for him! Absolutely, I’m delighted for him ; a talented talisman who could score goals and just as easily miss from 2 yards, but never hid and always seemed to be in the right place for the chances to arrive...

Re: Southport 2-3 York City - Match Thread

Any refunds should be 50% not the full price. The argument that the 2nd half was free to watch doesn't hold up as it wouldn't have been put on YouTube free of charge if people hadn't already paid for the stream. Personally I won't be asking for £4.50 back from the club but I wouldn't blame York fan...
