Re: Gloucester 0-1 Southport Match Thread

Haha, get on Gloucester’s twitter and listen to the honest interview from their manager. Wants to get better players in. Very similar to Watson after we lost to Chorley that day. Seems Gloucester have players on decent money not earning it. Touches upon what we do for every throw in too. We only ha...

Re: Post match interview with Liam

Rob does a fine job with the interviews.

You have to remember this is the club’s own channel, not an independent media outlet. It’s not really appropriate to delve into the rumour mill or look for gotchas on the club’s own YouTube.

Re: Conflict of interests?

After the latest LW interview it's quite obvious their is no replacement for carver, which leads me to think that their could be a conflict of interests between LW the manager, and LW the shareholder, Back in the day the manager would be knocking on the owners door ,demanding cash for players, with ...

Re: Marcus Carver

There are possibly 4 or 5 clubs in the country that can afford to keep their best players at all costs. We’re not one of them. We’d all love Marcus to stay but he deserves a shot higher up. I do like Newell, I think with a decent run of games we’d be just as strong but hopefully we don’t have to wra...

It's just a good job the chapter I wrote on Southport wasn't included. That probably would have upset quite a lot of people. ;)

Can you define Tinpot? /ˈtɪnpɒt/ - adjective - informal - British 1. The playing of professional or semi-professional football in Britain on any type of artificial playing surface. See also, entry for "nah you're alright" / "Brian Clough" + "turning" + "grave"...

Re: Southport v Curzon - Sun 2nd Jan - 3pm (Match Off)

This is helpful to understand the drainage problems, but it is not just waterlogging it is how badly it has cut up. Where has all the grass gone? When the pitch has dried out it is still going to be half mud and half grass, which means every time it drizzles it will cut up worse. The grass won't re...

The point is we get a shed load of money off them and we’d lose much more revenue losing Everton as tenants than we lost calling the game off today.

Re: Southport v Curzon - Sun 2nd Jan - 3pm (Match Off)

If the players had hopped over the Poplar Terrace and on to Meols Cop it would have been playable! As one of the people responsible for maintaining these pitches (on the school grounds, not the public fields past the brook) for the juniors, I can confirm that sadly that isn't the case. We've really...

Send us a screenshot if you can. Can’t see it myself.
