Re: Peterborough Sports Predictions

Forecast anywhere between 27° - 30° depending where you look, so it will be too hot for an end to end game.

I can see it being played at a slower pace and we are going to have to keep the ball. You can't play kick and chase in that heat.

Providing we do that, I can see a 2-0 home win.

Re: BBC drop classified results service on radio

I would always listen to the results, I'd usually be back in my car before the famous Sports Report music and have them on whilst driving. Is it the end of the world to read the results on my phone before setting off, no it isn't, but it feels like a shame. TalkSport read them out at around the same...

Re: Boston 3 - 5 Southport match

There's a reason why hundreds of thousands of football supporters took to the roads on Saturday, it's because despite all logic, predictions and beliefs... this sport throws up examples that upset rational thinking and deliver the unthinkable. Boston, known for their strong defensive approach and re...

Re: Away coaches.

Trust in Yellow no longer exists in any real sense, does it? No activity of any note for years. Last update on website over 2 years ago. I think Nic posted on here the regulatory things Trusts have to comply with and TIY weren't doing any of them. Ironically, they were great supporters of Phil's tak...

Re: Boston predictions

Away from predictions here. Aren’t we meant to be getting a new away shirt? Boston’s home strip clashes with our home strip so I would have thought we would be in the new away shirt. Maybe an announcement coming tomorrow? I was also confused about the home shirt as they are on sale as 'home shirt 2...

Re: Boston predictions

We will give it a go and show plenty of effort but ultimately this team lacks goals and their experience will tell.

Re: News of Former Players - it's back!

Marcus Carver signs for Scunthorpe- in the same division we'd have been in this season had he stayed. Disappointing for him no doubt, but as I and others said at the time of his departure, it seems he perhaps should've stuck it out with us until the end of the season just gone. In the end, the move...

Re: The state of play.

A few people have mentioned that we have no money, while we can only speculate without having up to date accounts in front of us, I don't see why we should be as skint as we seemingly are. We had the losses left by Phil and Covid to contend with, given what's been said over the last few years I beli...

Re: The state of play.

I will reserve judgement until we have played a sample of competitive matches, pre-season friendlies are not an indicator of what is to come. As Liam has previously pointed out, we lost them all in 09/10 and then won the league. Our performance this season will depend on how far last year's players ...

Re: Away coaches.

I appreciate the effort of those trying to sort something, I didn't use the coach myself but the away support last season was a bright spot. My only suggestion (as Dan looks to have exhausted the options) is to see whether the club would help in a partnership to attract coach companies. I do not mea...

Re: Bootle (A)

I think the club have correctly stood by George since his career threatening injury, and I’m happy that my small contribution has gone towards paying his wages. Any club that puts someone in the garbage after a traumatic injury is not a club worth supporting for me , it sends out a message of fair ...

Re: Bootle (A)

Terry Mac confirming George Newell has left. Someone is going to have to explain to me, very slowly, why we paid someones wages for two years when they were out injured or on loan, and then let them go when they were fit and are getting a good pre-season in. Potentially long term injuries to Evans a...

Re: Audio coverage

The BBC coverage is lacking, I've found that how much exposure clubs at our level are given on that platform depends on the number of teams in that catchment area. For example, Telford get full in depth coverage but that's because BBC Shropshire have only got them and Shrewsbury to worry about. Same...

Re: Southport v Marine

I think we will start the season with 5-3-2 being the favoured shape, that was our most successful formation last season and we played it at Lancaster. However playing with three central midfielders and two strikers means that Woods and Watson suffer because there is no place for them. They are eith...

Re: Tranmere home friendly

Just a quick update on the Hub/App. Early days and we will be adding more to it over the coming weeks. We are using the pre-season games as a dress rehearsal really ready to go live fully on 6th August. We did get a very pleasing response rate yesterday considering it was the first go at it...........
