Re: Southport 1-0 Leamington - Match Thread

There are worse problems to have than being a tedious little gimp. I should know, I've lived with it all my life.

Re: Southport 1-0 Leamington - Match Thread

Very disappointing performance from a Leamington POV, we never really got going. Man in the middle once again showed (for both teams) that some refs are incapable of being in charge of a National League North game. Dale Baines is just a shit referee unfortunately. Thought we had a blatant penalty n...

Re: Southport 1-0 Leamington - Match Thread

Much, much better. Really nice to see a bit of enthusiasm about the place again. So good to see a positive team selection - Hmami and Bainbridge get us forward so much more and the difference between us with two forwards and one is unbelievable. Carver was incredibly sharp for someone who's lacking ...

Brb while I add use of "cleany" to the forum's bannable offences. ;)
The forum's bannies. I would say "banny offies" but that's a dessert.

Re: Darlington 3-2 Southport - FA Cup - Match Thread

Watson stopped appealing in 2010/11 when the most mild mannered full back Chris Lever received a straight red card for an elbow away at Altrincham, despite doing absolutely nothing. After that appeal was rejected he drew a line. Inevitably Ross Joyce has been promoted through the leagues. Not quite...

2 home games in 3 days doesn’t seem very appealing at the moment.
Brackley are out and we've got them at home on a Tuesday in November, wonder if they might try and shift that.

Re: Darlington 3-2 Southport - FA Cup - Match Thread

I don't yet think it is beyond Liam to turn this round, but the current mess is very hard to take on the back of the inexplicable negligence that caused the shambolic end to last season. I don't know what's happened to us since January, but I'd like it to stop happening now. I think your first sent...

Re: Chester 1-0 Southport - Match Thread

We have no attacking threat whatsoever when we play Archer up front on his own. We played reasonably well against a rubbish Chester side without ever looking like we'd score until one flicked header from Archer late on that hit the post. For a side that relies on set-pieces to score we are unforgiva...

We'll win 2-1.

It is definitely a pain in the arse getting to the station, if you are in a rush a cab is the best bet although traffic is always bad coming out.

Let's smash up the Deva Centre!

I'll stop being a dick about this now. It was annoying though, especially when you find out Eton played a game yesterday with an FA ref.

Re: Chorley

I can't, I'm watching the cricket. I do agree that the helicopter/coffin news feed is a true Mark Of Respect and very probably what she would have wanted, as opposed to the warm tribute paid at the start of play at The Oval yesterday which has been widely condemned as DISRESPECTFUL. Thank God footba...

Re: Chorley

COVID cancellations were necessary for obvious reasons, this wasn't. I don't think anyone wants those days back, particularly struggling clubs and businesses that will lose the revenue from a Saturday match and eventually take much less from a midweek one. It's true that a postponement is not the en...

Re: Chorley

I'm not stopping anyone doing anything, am I? Expressing a view is not "imposing" it on anyone and is not the same as preventing a load of people doing something, which is what the footballing authorities have done.

All true patriots should really have taken their own lives by now, as a world without the Queen in it is not worth living in. I certainly have. It's bin day on Tuesday where I live. As a Mark Of Respect to people who don't care what I'm doing and won't notice, I will not be putting my bins out. Thi...

Re: Banbury 3-1 Southport - Match Thread

Imagine a conversation about football wandering to something other than football - wouldn't have been allowed in the old days. IT'S THE BEGINNING OF THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL.

I blame the Tories.
