Portchat I reckon, although it's not as poplar as it was at the moment..

No doubt about it, Portchat.
Port chat is the discussion of the merits of different fortified wines, which I personally love and enjoy patraking of, as a celebratory beverage when SFC win !.....
And before you ask, vintage Port is better

Good luck trying to create a website with a space in its URL.

If you delete your browser history regularly, nobody will know. Help is available if it is a persistant problem.

Grandstand, Main Stand or just the Stand?

When I stated going it only ever seemed the be referred to as "the Stand". The Grandstand reference seemed to come later when the bar was named the Grandstand Club.
Main Stand is on the sponsorship sign but as it's the only seated stand does it really need to be identified as the main one? I don't associate terraces with being stands.

The phrase Grandstand moaners doesn’t rattle off the tongue as easily as Main Stand moaners though....perhaps it’s because we’re more used to hearing the latter phrase.

....And why are stands called stands when you sit in them? I suppose if they were called ‘sits’ it could get awkward at larger ground ticket offices when asking the seller ‘do you have the sits?’

Probably because the first structures at football grounds erected for spectators were for standing spectators. The only seats would likely have been for directors in a structure more akin to a pavilion.
And, yes, I've just contradicted my earlier assertion that I don't consider terraces to be stands, but hey ho.
