Fan Zone

Post by yellowfever »

Well done to TIY,and in particular Jon O' Byrne for getting this project up and running.

With the difficult and challenging times we have all been living in,it's an amazing feat to have been completed
with supporters I'm sure benefitting from this facillity for years to come.

A big well done and thank you to all concerned.

Yes completely agree. It looks fantastic and I can’t wait to try it out when I’m done isolating 🤬. Ignore the haters guys!

Very well done Jonathan to you and all the kind and generous people who’ve helped make this happen. I’ve said it before but the quality and quantity of voluntary support given to the Club is Exceptional and Essential for the long term well being of the Club👏👏👏👌

Every silver lining is an opportunity for some sections of our support to joyously search for clouds.

We've had uncovered wooden terrace steps since 1993. No deaths yet.

I am sure that if the decking gets a coat of paint and is maintained it will be ok. . . Just don't allow it to have moss grow on it (occasional quick spray with a jet wash can cure that). Lets encourage the people that are doing things for the club instead of finding ways to criticise them.

Matt varnish with a little added fine sand will do the job.
Well said RR and Puskas, some people just want an excuse to moan. Why not put forward constructive ideas rather than continually bitching. Are you really true fans ?

I can't quite see how anybody could think it's a "death trap" although I suppose the floor might get a bit slippery if / when a lot of wet boots go in there on an inclement day underfoot. But for those poor dears like Ripple who fear for their safety, there's always the opportunity to stay outside on the cold terraces to await kick off - and more space inside the Fan Zone for those who appreciate the facility.

Totally agree.

I really like the memorabilia and cuttings. Nice touch to get a signed shirt off Dion Charles too. We need a Mo Ali Somalia shirt now.

People are extremely sensitive!

Clearly the use of the phrase "death trap" is colloquial; to describe something that is or can be dangerous. And I stand by what I said. It will be dangerous in winter months unless something is done to mitigate it.
