Looking back over the highlights, I can’t help but think we finally got lucky on a few decisions. A soft penalty, the guy had dropped his foot down for the sending off, should have been a yellow and Chris Doyle’s tackle was no better, so he could have been given a red on consistency. Well done that referee 👌 makes up for the poor decisions we’ve had against us at Spennymoor and Fylde👍

Things always even themselves out in time, as will our league position, when we play the lower teams.

Total fallacy that decisions even themselves out over a season.
You get what you get-which is why I wasn't complaining about the referee the other night.Oh,by the way for all the Port doubters out there- the referee had an excellent view of the penalty, the Spennymoor sending off and the Chris Doyle "challenge"..
Get on with it..

In the league we have played. 1st away, loss. 2nd away, loss. 4th away, loss. 5th home, draw. 7th home, draw. And gloucester home, draw.
In the cup we have played 4th away, draw, 4th home, win. 9th away draw. 9th home, win.
Overall. P10, W2, D5, L3.
How many teams do you think will go to Fylde, Brack & Spenny and get points ?.
We have played 10 games, 9 of which have been against teams inside the top 10 (9 to be exact) and we have lost 3. Can you not see that our position has bren skewed by the games we have played ?.

And finally. Have you noticed that our performances are improving by the game. Have you noticed the heart, spirit and never give up attitude of the players ?????. These attributes will gain us plenty of points against the teams lower in the league, than the ones we have played (for example the 15 teams below Spenny in 4th). WE HAVE PLAYED 3 OF THE TOP 4 AWAY.

And on a bad ref day, we may not have got the pen, their sending off could have been a yellow and we could have had 2 reds. Not correct decisions but it could have gone that way, hence why I think things even themselves out over time.

Nothing like. There's elements of truth and reality in portexileinbath's post.
We are the nutters, we come from the sea.
We must be nutters to watch SFC.

Are we bottom because we have played them or are they near the top because they have played us?

Ok I will play the game.
Allowing all our league results were expunged, this is how the table would look.
=1st Fylde, Brackley, Curzon- 16 pts
- 4th Gateshead - 13 pts
=5th Spennymoor Alfreton - 12pts
- 7th Kettering - 11 ptd
= 8th Kidderminster Leamington Chorley - 10 pts
- 21 st Gloucester - 3 pts
- 22 Southport (having not played anyone)..

Strange thing is, the league hardly changes without our games, which proves the top clubs are not there because they have beaten us, but because they are the best teams (so far). (Only changes are. Gateshead & Spennymoor swap places. Kidderminster & Kettering swap).
In this scenario our only results would be in the FA cup, Spennymoor away draw & home win and the same for Chorley. Not looking so bad now is it !.
My reputation for being right is well earned
