He was in the dugout with Liam on Tuesday so there’s definitely something happening!

Remember Jon McCarthy was an appointee from the Hodgkinson era, so presumably on a decent deal initially at least

Freeing up those wages will have created a little headroom expenditure wise
Are you saying there’s enough to bring in that experienced player or two that we need?!
If there is cash available !.
Ref the spaces in the subs bench, if no funds are available, a cheap alternative would be to narrow the dug out, thus reducing the number if empty spaces
Sensible ideas / joking apart. I think it would make sense to wait until january and assess where we are position wise (i still predict us being just inside top half and play off contenders by end of season), if we are in that sort of position, that is when to invest, in the hope of a play off place this year or automatic promition next year. With our young squad a year older and wiser this is a realistic hope. If our performances and results continue to improve, hopefully many more will be watching, so funds will be there by then.
A win at York would show how well we are progressing but a draw would still be a good result.

Now on the official website:

https://southportfc.net/terry-mcphillip ... t-manager/

Real pedigree and experience there.

Maybe an ideal marriage too. Liam just managing and Terry doing the coaching as Terry has previously said he's not interested in the managing side.

Great appointment new tactics thrown into the mix a person hopefully that can be trusted who might know a player or two to strengthen the squad and not just make up numbers trouble is we're not a rich club but we are a club were certain players can put themselves in the shop window better to be playing than be a bum on a seat
