Once again fell to a short corner.
A penalty scored By Hmami York commentators agreed he was last man and should have been off.

I know it is early days, but York are the best team we have faced so far. They could, and should, have scored more.

I'm looking in to the distance for these "lower" teams to come along. We still looking at the play offs? Jesus..

Feel sorry for the lads they are a good set.
Their commentators were full of praise ,we need a midfield general bring back Paul Rutherford.

A deserved win for York. We led and had a short encouraging period when 2-1 down and Issac & Connor brought some new ideas on. Apart from that it was all York, I resign myself to us only getting 25-30% possession per match. Our best work in the first half was when the ball was on the floor and passed into dangerous areas.
We seemed to come out in the second half too passive and that handed the initiative to York after we went in level. The Cup form isn’t affecting the League form which remains very poor, 3 points from a possible 21

Nice to hear the commentators being fair (not always the case, of course), and their assertion we're not a bottom-of-the-table side, although unfortunately the table disagrees...

Another game were we faded away in the second half. We need a striker who can score goals and again thanks to the yellow army for running another coach to the game

Once again a poor refereeing decision has gone against us away from home and I`m sure Liam will refer to it!

A big ask today following 2 tough games against Spennymoor, away at a fancied full time side . Park it and move on as far as I’m concerned. Well done to all the fans who went and supported today , I missed it unfortunately but we get a free hit next week , so chins up , we’ve got a run of fixtures where we will hopefully start to move on up 🤞

First half: We spent the first 10-15 minutes on the back foot, then were every bit as good as they were until half-time. Sloppy defending for their goal, their player had time in the box to have a sloppy touch that came up to shoulder height and then cross the ball, with no-one alert enough to close down quickly. I couldn't see the penalty decision, but we were back in the game. Hmami then missed a sitter just before half time.

Second half: We were shocking. Again slow out of the blocks, and York had the measure of us by this point. They recycled possession easily via their full-backs for the first 10 minutes, and our formation didn't allow us to close them down. Another set piece from York (I lost count of how many corners they won), more sloppy defending and we were out of the game. In our efforts to chase the game we finally brought on some width, but we also took off both of our recognised strikers, which was completely baffling. Connor Woods is a cracking player, but a lone centre forward he is not. The third goal from York just made it more comfortable for them.

Can't argue with the result, we deserved nothing, which is even more disappointing as York were nothing special. There is only so long we can keep saying "Well at least they tried", it's not getting us wins in the league, and I fear our Cup run is papering over the cracks. It's now 12 league games without a win if you include matches from last season, which really isn't good enough.

Finally, what a strange and soulless ground. I actually feel sorry for York having to play there. Bootham Cresent may have been past its best, but at least it felt like a football ground and not a cheap extension to a retail park.
