Steve Watson-York City sacked

Post by yellowfever »

Shame really, I thought he was doing a good job there...
Just watched his interview after their 0.0 draw at Curzon Ashton yesterday. All he could talk about were the players who were missing through injury-something that Liam will never make excuses for-even though us as fans can. When you manage a club like York City (with their budget and squad size) and do it-you really do know you're in trouble.

Their was pandemonium at Curzon Ashton yesterday York fans fighting each other, abusing the manager on the touch line and some abusing Jason Gilchrist too.
I saw York at Leamington last Tuesday they were nothing special and Leamington beat them reasonably well. A number of their players need to have a long look in the mirror.

With only about 7 weeks to go, that post is in prime position to take the best / most amusing posting of the year award. I raise my glass to you sir.
But to be fair, he has been quiet for a while, I wonder why.. Good series of results, a team getting better by the game, crowds improving, a brilliant loan signing, our strikers on fire, good new assistant and rising up the league table

I seem to recall one of our Managers receiving the similar treatment at Vauxhall Motors after an infamous FA Cup defeat many years ago its seems nothing changes in Football, success is the only thing now...

Every fan wants to see their team do well but some seem to be unable to get their heads around the fact that in a league not everyone can be champions. The other point is that the playing field is not a level one and there are the haves and the have nots.

Mike Walsh's last game.

Long walk back to the dressing rooms under those prison like metal tunnels.

This league seems to have lost quite a few managers this season already

York
Curzon
Telford
Blyth
Gloucester

Have I missed anyone?

You can now add the Chester Two onto the list.

No real surprise, it’s been on the cards for a while.
