Next Season

Post by Exiled Port Fan »

With the EFL announcement of a adjusted season for 22/23 due to the World Cup, (English Football League 2022-23: Championship, League One and League Two to start on 30 July - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59295406) will be interesting to see what the National League do.

Free to air football when it is cold, dark and wet outside would be devastating for attendances for sure, especially if it clashed with England.

Win another four or five games and we'll be worrying about losing our players to international duty, so it's a very real concern :D

Joking aside, adjusting the start and end of the season to accommodate a winter break is an easy solution for clubs paying over 52 weeks, but depending on how it's done may present some expensive issues for part time clubs.
