Lancs Trophy Draw

Post by Port on the Kent »

Not publicised on SFC channels yet, but this tweet suggests:

Charnock Richard or Kendal Town v Southport

Date TBA

Fingers crossed for Kendal so I can walk down.

Charnock Richard would be a new one on me. Have we played them before?

Nope.
We are the nutters, we come from the sea.
We must be nutters to watch SFC.

Nice set up at Charnock Richard. Very modern with a stand, decent floodlights, big car park and yes catering facilities!!🤦‍♂️🙄😜
Hope it's Kendal Town though.
I never got to go there when we used to play them in the 80's when they were then Netherfield, (showing my age now!) changed to Netherfield Kendal in the late 90's and then to Kendal Town in 2000.

Remember hearing that a lot on the radio years ago.

Kendal an unknown quantity now, after a lousy start to the season the chairman resigned, manager and assistant left, they now have new ownership, a new manager and have signed six players.

I hope they can drag themselves out of trouble, once they drop into the NWCFL it is hard to see a way back.

May be in doubt as Charnock Richard's game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch today.

You can take the sea out of pitch, but you shouldn't take the pith.

Unbeaten run continues against a decent Charnock Richard side.
Nice tidy ground, decent set up.
First 30 mins was one sided, but we struggled to break them down. Connor and Dylan were the standouts in the first half alongside Jack Doyle.
Two well taken goals from Jordan Archer, who arrived late, sealed it.
They had a pen for a clear push and had some half chances at the end.
It was very cold at the end and the pitch was frosting over.
Russ got 10 mind.
Marcus Carver came down to watch...
