I do hope that it’s a good crowd.

Professional performance. The game was done and dusted in the first half. Probably should have scored a couple more in the second half but it is difficult to keep the momentum going when you are 4 up. A nice problem to have!!! The next game will be much tougher. Good that we were able to give a couple of players a rest.

Farsley embarrassed themselves first half but Southport took full advantage. Keeper looked about 5ft 8. The lad up front must have won a competition in his local (which he looked like he had just spent several days in) to play 45 minutes as he wasn't a footballer in shape or deed. Second half a none event but job well done.

Some were saying this match would be tough, Farsley would be much stronger than the Cup game, we would be knackered from Boxing Day. We need fear no one.

An excellent first half performance won the match and then it was just a case of playing out the game, giving some a rest and making sure no one got involved in sonething when tackles were flying in.
What was most encouraging about the four first half goals was us repeating what worked. Both Jordan and Jacks opening goals came from good headers from great deliveries and both their second goals were from quick breaks with lots of players flooding into the box. Jack was there (from midfield) to finish a move at the back post while Jordan backed up Issac’s deflected shot. We attack as a unit with more than one person up there following up.
I think having Issac & Niall either side of Archer meant we got it down and passed to feet but we were doing this anyway - we often choose the right ball rather than the direct ball and it’s added a lot to our game. When opponents aren’t sure what you’re going to do it puts them on the back foot. The reliance on Tharme’s long throw seems to lessened too. Having lots of options we can use is great (as was having the leagues top scorer on the bench whilst leading 4-0!)
All very encouraging and only spoilt by some awful behaviour from the Farsley fans - it has no place in grounds or anywhere and if the person involved can be identified a ban from football should be pursued.

We looked sharp in the first half and after racking up 4 goals the second was all about managing the game and keeping a clean sheet. Strong in defence, creative in midfield and scoring goals. Haig Ave was full of Christmas cheer. To put the icing on the cake….Russ Benjamin made his come back after serious injury. Good to see him out the pitch again. Come on the Pooorrrtttt.

Great first half performance, we looked like scoring every time we crossed the half way line. To be fair to Farsley, they did give it a go after the break, but in reality never looked like troubling our defence. Great to see 1200 home fans in the ground today, let’s hope they all come back for the Curzon game on Sunday.
One sour note, their number 11, Parkin left the field at half time shouting the foulest of language at someone in the Main Stand which had quite a few children within earshot.

Great first half performance and professional second half performance and I can hardly remember Cam Mason having to make a save.
Niall caused chaos in the first half, Jack B won everything in midfield and a couple of set pieces with Niall setting up the third and Archer lashing in after Isaac looked like he was bundled over.
They changed there formation second half and went more defensive.
Good to see 1200 home fans turn up, lots hope we can attract a few of them back on Sunday and fir the remainder of the season.

Our record for Dec is P 6 W 5 D 1 GD 13-1. I'm not sure the defence is getting the credit it deserves.

Surely we will pick up something in the monthly awards.

Is there a better way to end the year (football-wise)?

Full steam ahead. I can't see where the next defeat is coming from. Boston away may be tricky but I predict the unbeaten run will still be intact when we face Brackley at home in early March.
We are the nutters, we come from the sea.
We must be nutters to watch SFC.

Won't someone think of the children.. anyone who takes their kids to football know they are going to hear potty mouth. There was plenty from the Jack Carr stand for example today. The kids will live don't fret. They hear worse in the playground every day.

Good win against a very poor Farsley. Second half felt like an anticlimax after the first but they came out to disrupt, agitate and its credit to us we didn't get too involved and let them pick up the cards.
Decent ref and linesmen too who kept it reasonably flowing.
Onwards and upwards to promotion at afc fylde expense hopefully...

Tend to agree re swearing...its football not a library...our fans aren't perfect and used the c word in irrelevant political not football songs today themselves. I'm not too bothered personally as don't want football sanitised so fans can't be fans but we can't criticise others if we're not perfect either.
I'm assuming the stuff the ref stopped play for was someone lobbing something from farsley end onto pitch bearing in mind he seemed to be picking something up and showing ref?
