Chester

Post by Ralphy Rylance »

Seems Chester may be in breach of Welsh coronavirus restrictions.

What a farce.
I recall that they put their offices on the "wrong side" so that it fell in England and the entrance is in England. Presumably the Welsh Powers that Be care more about some of the car park and terracing falling in Wales.

But which side of the border does their pitch drain into? :D

It is rather ridiculous. It's not as if the ground is in a densely populated part of Wales where Welsh people would be put at risk from incoming English fans. It's a dead end with fields as far as the eye can see on the Welsh side.
Only sheep would be at risk, as per the old normal.

Absolute nonsense. It’s on an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere.

I did warn in the thread on vaccine passports on 22nd December that their ground was half in wales and could be half shut...

The whole thing is a nonsense in my view. If there’s no way of accessing the ground without going via England it’s all a bit farcical.

Having said that I also think it’s a total nonsense that wales and Scotland have different rules for dealing with the pandemic to England. Regionalism Politics being allowed to get in the way of dealing clearly and consistently with covid for the good of the people whatever side of non existent borders they live, work, play or try to watch football.

The main problem is that both Wales and Scotland are run by incompetent muppets

Thank God our government is so competent and honest and always acts in the interests of the people.

Chester have only themselves to blame for moving to a silly Lego ground in the middle of nowhere. Always an absolute arse to get to, whatever country it's in.

100%.

Welsh rugby Union looking to move their home six nations matches to England so they can have crowds. Drakeford does things differently for the sake of being different. The Chester issue is a debacle and one that lacks total common sense.

It's just a good job the chapter I wrote on Southport wasn't included. That probably would have upset quite a lot of people. ;)

I can’t see how anyone could ever take Drakeford seriously, he’s just like the puppets on Spitting Image.

That's an unusual spelling for "Johnson" that you've used. Is it latin?

Absolutely spot on.
We should have had a single comprehensive public health policy and administration for the whole of the country.

Mind you, you could say that about just about every aspect of National Government.
