It must be quite unsettling for Doug Tharme...A new Manager installed before he's even kicked a ball for them.."Alleged talk" of bringing players in by Appleton...The Appleton appointment (for the second time at Blackpool FC) must be a bit of a gamble..He seems to have a good reputation within the game-but for me hasn't pulled up any trees wherever he's been...At Lincoln City he inherited an already "revived" club by the Crowley's...
Hope Doug gets a chance to show what he can do.

Yes, horrid for Doug.

I don’t think that their Board would be happy if he is released without playing a game after they only recently paid a fee for him.

Not all money paid "up front" for him I was led to believe so....

Not sure he'd have been expected to be going straight into a first team squad 4 divisions above where he's been playing. I'm sure Liam said as much when the deal was done.
If he doesn't make the first team squad Blackpool are entering a reserve team squad in the Central League next season.

For his own ambition and it doesn’t work out with Appleton, then he’ll be wanting a loan move to League 1/2. He’s a good player with a good head.
Alan McDonald was more versatile than a Swiss Army knife.

Would rather take Carver back first tbh
Close call but I would go for LE. Yes MC was great for us but I think we were lucky to have him during a very hot streak.

Both would be nice though.

Bolton boss Ian Evatt criticised the state of Chorley’s newly laid pitch after their pre-season friendly yesterday.
