Bit of advice for the next game.
Don’t start the next game with the team we finished with.
No payment required.

Great win and so unexpected but a positive start to the season.
However, there must be a concern as to how we let in 3 late goals against a team that was totally dead and buried.
Fantastic result though and well done to the team.

With long coach journey home assume Liam would focus on the positive side of the overall performance.
In the words of Tomkins, "The ethos of Clapham became the spirit of the age."

Great result that sets us nicely for our first home game next week against Peterborough……….dear godfathers we have an away game to come against Peterborough and I think it’s on a Tuesday night. Soup and sandwiches required for that trip. Returning to the present day it’s very early days but five goals away from home. Thankyou that will do for me. 3 points move on.

Well that was an unexpected triumph against against a strongly fancied promotion team, must have been some game, I hope the attack keeps attacking & scores lots of goals, great start.

Alex Harvey predicted it correctly, great for the club and the supporters who travelled

A net 3-10 in our last 2 league away games!
Re: Boston 3 - 5 Southport match
3 points away at Boston is a fantastic result, well done to the team and all who travelled.

However, I don't like to predict a Southport loss, so:
Boston 0-8 Southport (att. 1,812 (43 away))
Well... Safe to say I'm over the moon. Few of us back on the train after that. What a performance. Well played Port!

Great result and beyond what most thought was possible on here that's for sure. I didn't go but by the sounds of it the commentators seemed to believe Boston would be challenging for the title this season- given their slightly worse squad than last season I can't see that but definitely playoff contenders. 3 late goals does take the shine off it slightly but 5 away from home is very impressive against any team, let alone Boston.

Re: Boston 3 - 5 Southport match
For all the naysaying in the week, this was victory for a team who have played a season together (+ Quansah) over a team
put together over the summer.
Going forwards, I think we’ll be as good as any side at this level (when fully fit). I think I said so earlier in this thread. Archer was unplayable at times, though looked like Connor got the first from where I was.
Quansah and Anson looked very assured at the back, although the three late goals show we have something to work on.
Thought we’d maybe scrape a point, so what a cracking start.

Great result. Pity about the late goals but would have certainly taken a 2 goal win before the game. Hopefully no injuries. A home win on Tuesday would certainly get our season off to a flyer! The start of a new season always brings hope!!!

Well done SFC a good result and 3 points to start with !
I saw Leamington beat Farsley 4-0 at a canter it could have been 6-0 and Leamington didn't get out of second gear.
