The “target” sounds realistic given our history of signing injury prone players

Elsewhere, Andy Owens, who would definitely have strengthened our squad has gone to Chorley on a dual registration with Macclesfield

Occam's razor suggests there was never a target and this kid who works in clickbait journalism and has no connection to the club is talking out his arse.
I know Stephen myself and I know his source is highly reliable. He isn’t making it up.

Must be the same source as Siddle, hence why they tend to be wrong in sync

Off the Park is ran by Stephen Killen, a 23-year-old Journalism graduate, from Liverpool. Once an unreliable goalkeeper. Stephen enjoyed a few years at Everton in his early career before playing a lot of his football at grassroots level.
Describing oneself as an unreliable goalkeeper convinces me that Stephen is reliable.

One player that has stood out to me in the lower leagues is Cemal Ramadan. Decent striker, six games eight goals. Puts himself about aswell and always gives 110%.

Might be a bit of a step up but worth a go... Or I can only wish.

Just came up on Sky Sports newsfeed on TV we are in talks with a player just released from Preston North End today. Don't know who that could be?

This has just come up on PNE’s website
https://www.pnefc.net/news/2022/septemb ... north-end/

Bit hopeful obviously as he seems an accomplished full timer but you never know!

I'd guess, with some degree of certainty, that it'll be Welsh striker Jamie Thomas. Former AFC Blackpool forward who signed for PNE after impressing against them a few seasons ago in pre season. Had a decent loan spell at Halifax last term, and will probably be an excellent partner for Archer up top if indeed it is him.

Who could it have been? 🤔

Sounds like it might have been Ewan Bange of Blackpool who has just gone to Queen Of The South instead - came off in their reserve game at the weekend "with a knock".

The only stats I can find for Jamie Thomas, if I'm wrong apologies in advance.

2015–2016 Bolton Wanderers 0 (0)
2016–2018 Burnley 0 (0)
2016→ Ayr United (loan) 3 (0)
2018–2019 Squires Gate
2019–2021 A.F.C. Blackpool
2021 Bamber Bridge 0 (0)
2021– Preston North End 0 (0)
2022–→ FC Halifax Town (loan) 8 (0)

Haven't we learnt about getting players in who have barely played over the past few seasons?

I've no doubt Sky Sports are all over what we're doing - why wouldn't they be?
